Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: taking too many photographs will prevent people from participating in the parties with friends or family.【

  Sample Answer

I agree that taking too many photographs can affect people's participation in events and activities.

The primary reason is that when individuals are constantly focused on capturing the perfect shot, they may miss out on fully engaging with the moment. They may become more concerned with getting the right angle or lighting for their photos. After that, they may probably use some apps on the phone to polish those photos. All of these efforts will make it impossible for them to get fully immersed in the events.

Another reason is that it will create a sense of pressure and anxiety. When individuals feel the need to constantly document every moment, they won’t have much time for talking and socializing. As a result, it will prevent them from relaxing.

Some people think that children should be rewarded for their effort even if they are not successful.

Others think that children are being rewarded too often for anything that they try to do. Which view do you agree with? Use details and examples to explain your opinion.

  Sample Answer

I think children should be rewarded for their effort even if they're not successful because children will learn that they should not focus only on the result but enjoy the process of putting in effort. The most important thing is that they have tried their best and their hard work is valued. And this recognition motivates them to keep learning and also helps to reduce their fear of failure.

For example, let's say a kid who is an introvert signs up for a speech competition. In order to overcome his fear, he spends hours learning how to make eye contact with listeners and practicing as many times as possible. And even if this kid doesn't get the first prize, his teacher can still give this kid some praise for the hard work he puts in. So the kid will be encouraged to try harder again for the next competition.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Students should not be allowed to use calculators in exams?

  Sample Answer

I firmly believe that schools should not allow calculators in class.

The primary reason is the financial burden it could place on students. Not every student can afford a scientific calculator, which can cost up to 100 dollars or even more. For many students who are not financially independent and come from low-income families, this expense can be a significant strain. They are often on a tight budget, and every dollar counts. For them, saving money is a top concern.

Besides, over-reliance on calculators can hinder the development of essential math skills. If students fall into a pattern of just using a calculator to do all the math, they will never appropriately develop their arithmetic abilities. Without a solid foundation in these skills, students may struggle with more complex topics later on.

TASK2

  Mixed feelings

  Vertical Migration:

  soft-shelled eggs(软壳蛋)

Two ways that underwater plants spread pollen
