　主题：伊丽莎白剧场没有屋顶的三个理论

　　罗马设计师的一本书在当时出版了，英国的建筑师很熟悉这本书;

　　剧场不是建筑师设计的，而是商人和木匠设计的，其次，那本书拉丁文写的，只有教育程度高的人看得懂，他们没有受过良好的教育，看不懂;

　　体育赛场：以前赛场没有屋顶;

　　马戏团的高围栏是用来圈禁动物，保护观众不受伤害，如果用在剧场，会导致观众看不到舞台;

　　金融假说：圆顶可以容纳更多人。

　　没有屋顶的话，下雨天或者风大的天气会导致观看人数减少，反而会减少收入。

　主题：庞贝古城坍塌的原因

　　野生鸟类破坏，例如，鸽子会破坏能够保护墙壁的灰，也会留下酸性的排泄物，毁坏墙壁。

　　人们可以训练一些老鹰去捕猎野生鸟类，当这些鹰在天空盘旋的时候，那些野生鸟类看到后会害怕，逃走，并且远离古城;

　　游客带来的破坏，一些游客在参观的时候会偷一些砖块，而且没有足够的警卫去监督这些游客，由于雇佣警卫的成本太高;

　　实际上并不需要花大量的资金雇佣警卫，世界上有很多对历史感兴趣的人，即便不支付任何金钱，他们也愿意来到古城遗址进行志愿活动和工作，对游客进行一定的教育和监督，由于这些爱好者的热情，他们是不会允许游客偷走任何东西的;

　　建筑本身的损坏，尽管有一些修建筑的支撑结构，但是效果不足以支撑建筑。

　　Doctor Achebe:Today, let's discuss about the effect of different transportation means. Short-distance air travel is increasingly criticized for its environmental impact. Air travel generates significantly higher carbon emissions per passenger than trains, up to10 times more on routes under 500 miles. Critics argue replacing such flights with rail could curb emissions. Should governments ban short flights? Explain why.

　　Kelly:I think short flights should be banned. Planes emit significantly more carbon per passenger than trains. Switching to trains for short trips, like Paris to Brussels or Tokyo to Osaka, would drastically reduce carbon footprints. Trains also often connect city centers directly, avoiding lengthy airport commutes. Giving priority to rail travel helps promote global sustainability.

　　Paul:Restricting short flights is impractical. People should choose transportation based on their needs. For urgent business trips, medical emergencies, or tight schedules, planes save critical time, which is a 2-hour flight versus a 6-hour train ride. Additionally, not all regions have reliable rail networks; imposing bans could isolate areas lacking alternatives. Instead of restricting options, governments should innovate cleaner fuels for planes.
