　　TASK 1

　　It is the policy of many universities that parents of university students cannot have access to their child’s grades without their child’s permission. Do you agree or disagree with this policy? Use details and examples to explain your opinion.

　　Sample Answer

　　Well, personally, I think parents should only get kids’ score reports after receiving permission.

　　The main reason is that in this way, parents treat their kids as adults and respect their privacy. So, children are likely to work even harder and get better grades to reciprocate their trust. Instead, if parents have access to their kid's grades without their permission, it will damage the relationship between parents and kids. The kids may think their privacy is being intruded upon. This may lead to resentment or sometimes even outright rebellion.

　　In addition, getting permission also sets a good example for kids. Because they will know that in the future, if they want to get sth. from others, they cannot simply take it without asking others. This would also teach kids an important lesson.

　　Reason 2：她去年其实看过一门入门课程，但即使是入门课程也涉及到编程和写代码等比较复杂的内容，大多数学生没有时间在这些课程上花费精力，还要兼顾其他课程。

　　Reading: Sympatric Speciation(同域物种形成)

　　定义：同域物种形成是指在相同地理区域内，相同物种的动物由于开始食用不同的food source，而逐渐演化成不同的物种。(The less-common kind of speciation that occurs when some animals of the same species begin feeding on a different food source, and, over time, end up reproducing only with other animals that rely on this same food source.)

　　一种苍蝇最初以山楂果为食，并在凉爽的秋季繁殖。后来，当苹果树被引入后，一部分苍蝇转而以苹果为食，并在苹果树上交配繁殖。这些以苹果为食的苍蝇与以山楂果为食的苍蝇在繁殖时间上出现了不同：苹果苍蝇更早繁殖，而山楂苍蝇则在较凉的天气中繁殖。这表明这两种苍蝇在适应不同食物来源，而后逐渐形成了不同的种群。
